BEGINNERS: We at Morning Star Stables enjoy what we do and love the opportunity to introduce first time riders to our amazing horses; however, it is important to remember that horseback riding is a team sport which requires you to participate. If you are overly nervous, overweight and/or out of shape, you greatly heighten the risk of falling off of your horse. Because we ride in the backcountry, it is important that you have the ability to mount and dismount your own horse from the ground. You must understand and appreciate this risk in order to ride safely.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: We offer riding for all ages. 12 years old and up is appropriate for our backcountry ride. For children under 12 we offer a hand lead ride around one of our large pastures. All riders are required to wear helmets.

PRIVATE RIDES: All of our rides are private - the only participants on your ride are you, your family/friends and a guide. We strive to offer a unique personal horse experience to all of our customers.

WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: We strive to accommodate everyone who wants to ride one of our horses; however, it is important to note that horseback riding is a very physical activity and, at times, can be physically challenging. Because we ride in the backcountry, everyone needs to be able to mount and dismount their own horse. Our weight limit is 230 pounds so please notify us if anyone in your group exceeds this weight.

BOOKING: Please either give us a call or shoot us an email if you have questions or would like to book a ride. If you are interested in our pony rides or our large group bookings, please give us a call so we can better assess your needs.

PAYMENT AND CANCELATION POLICY: All rides must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. rides cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged in full. It takes a credit card to hold your reservation; however, we do not charge until your ride is complete. In addition to credit cards we accept Venmo, PayPal, personal check or cash. If we have to cancel your ride due to inclement weather, we will do our best to reschedule but know that our reason for cancelling has everything to do with your safety.
